Course Description
This course provides MBA students with the theoretical and practical foundations required for conducting systematic and scientific research in business and accounting environments. It is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to identify research problems, develop research objectives and hypotheses, design appropriate research methodologies, collect and analyze data, and present findings in a clear and professional manner.
The course emphasizes the application of research techniques to contemporary issues in accounting, finance, management, and related business disciplines. Students are introduced to both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, including survey design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, statistical analysis, interpretation of results, and academic report writing.
Special attention is given to the use of research as a tool for managerial decision-making, policy formulation, performance evaluation, and problem-solving in organizations. Students will also gain practical exposure to data analysis tools and software commonly used in business research, such as SPSS and Microsoft Excel.
By the end of the course, students are expected to demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research and prepare professional research reports, proposals, and dissertations that meet academic and industry standards.
